So I hear you talk the talk…
But can you walk the walk?
Actions speak louder than words,
So if you want to change the world,
Then start right now–
Stop letting your fears weigh you down,
Cause I’m so tired of hearing
Of death, disease, and cardboard houses,
Starving children, abusive spouses,
All these things we could prevent
In this hurting world, but we forget
Just how lucky we are
That we’re not part
Of the poverty that goes around…
The innocent cry out,
But never really make a sound,
Because we do not wish to hear it…
But we ARE a part of this world!
So can’t we take a moment
To step back from the material things
We’re obsessed with?…
Cause if you care as much as you say,
Then can’t you live without it all for a day,
Just to look around and see
The real need?…
And if you truly open your eyes,
I truly hope you realize
That time is running out,
And the time to act is now.
Will you choose the easy way–
Ignore, or take a challenge for a change?
Cause no longer can we just rely
On words alone to get us by.
We need to make an impact through
The hard things that we choose to do!
Take a risk, dare to reach
Out to a world that’s hurting deep…
No longer afraid,
Because I know that God
Has a plan that’s greater than me.
