A Mother's Prayer

 I Love This Song's
Nothing can come close to the love that a mother feels for her children. Most women are inherently excellent mothers. Women carry their young before they are born and then continue to nurture them throughout their childhood and even into adulthood. Mothers make sure that their children are safe and happy throughout their childhood. It is the unconditional love that a mother feels that drives these feelings. It is hard to describe the feeling that a mother has towards her children. In fact, most people do not understand unless they become a mother themselves. Raising children comes with its own share of frustrations, from the needy new born baby that requires regular care to the sullen teenager, a mother's job is anything but easy. A famous saying states that "God could not be everywhere and so he invented mothers", these words are a great inspiration to mothers across the world. When all is well, a mother puts her children before anything else, including their own comfort and happiness.

Mothers give an awful lot of support to their children, whether it involves very visible support or simple background encouragement. Not only do mothers support their children, but they also often hold the whole family structure together. This role is not always plain sailing. A mother can also be upset or hurt. Remember that a mother often takes the fallout for the toddler tantrums and the teenage angst. Despite this, mothers, generally, will love their children no matter what they do.

Mothers are meant to be the cheerleaders of their kids, sometimes in loud and visible ways, sometimes in sublet or unspoken ways in the background. Mothers are often the backbone of families. Mothers job is not always an easy one. Mothers have to make sacrifices. Mothers can have their hearts broken. Mothers must be the conscience of young children and are often the brunt of their anger and pain as they grow into adulthood. The great thing about mothers is that they usually understand and love their kids anyways.

Every year there is a day set aside to celebrate the role of a mother. Unsurprisingly, the day is called Mother's Day. This day is a great opportunity for children of all ages to show their appreciation for the work of a mother. Gifts and cards, often handmade with care, are given as a sign of love.

Every year there is one special day put aside for mothers. What else could it be called but "Mothers Day."? This is the day that sons and daughters who are grown make the long distance calls or take their moms out for dinner. Mother's Day is a special day when mom gets the flowers she deserves. Mother's Day is a day when children stop and say thank you to mom for all she has done over the years. Young children make mothers homemade cards that bring tears to mother's eyes and make her realize that it is all worth it.

Describing a mother's love is virtually impossible. It is a feeling that can only truly be understood by those that experience it. In time, a mother's daughters will grow up to be mothers themselves.

Never underestimate the influence that a mother has over a child. It may not always appear this way, but children look to their mother for guidance on how they should deal with situations. On the rare occasions that a mother is unable to look after their children, maybe through illness or death, it can have a tragic impact on the life of the children.

Mothers have incredible power over their children that they must be respect. It is a tragedy for a child when the mother is not someone who looks after the child properly. It is a tragedy when a child or children lose their mother's at a young age.

I have received an email this on x day, that was labelled by the sender as a "warning." I am wondering though, if it should be taken, more as a threat. The sender was very careful how they worded it...too careful. No idea who it was, as it was from a free Yahoo email address.

I shall ponder this, and get back to you!

He who laughs...lasts he hee!

Honesty Is Huge

Honesty is huge. It is so much easier to lie sometimes. It is especially easier to lie, when you know that the truth will upset, anger, or hurt someone that you care about. It is even easier to lie when lying, will save our own butts.

Even this days sometime I try to lie when I know the true will upset but I know that will not help my life. Hence,  I used to be able to do a lot of things now by changing myself,  that I am no longer able to do. For that, i am grateful.

How about that storm? I drove my friend’s and his  friends through x Rd Chennai at about 7pm (date ?), to drop them off at another friend's house, and the thunder and lightning just about gave us all a heart attack . It came out of nowhere, but then was gone just as fast. I love thunder and lightning. I really miss the electrical storms that i grew up watching from the lake cabin. We just don't get them here in (Village?), like they get in chennai

Anyway, there were trees down on x  Rd at 7pm the night. I was more than happy to get back home and crawl into bed for the night, and listen to the storm from here. I wonder what the damage is out there today. It looks like it is a fairly sunny day. Although, in saying that, yesterday started out nice as well.

I am annoyed right now, at the weather reports telling us all to stay inside all weekend, and batten down the hatches. I cancelled cool plans because of that weather report, and now it is beautiful out there, and i am stuck here listening to Billy and his friends play xbox all weekend ha haa. The new Halo game was released the week. (X) went and got it the morning...at 10am, and was still up playing it at 4am, when i took Nixon outside for (x he/she?) business.

WHAT THE....?!?!?!?  I thought there was thunder going on outside still...until i got up and realised it was just the noise from the game….

The Heart Of Humanity

When we are dealing with sadness it is important to really sit with it and have to courage to do so.

The last thing most of us want to hear or think about when we are dealing with profound feelings of sadness is that deep learning can be found in this place. In the midst of our pain, we often feel picked on by life, or overwhelmed by the enormity of some loss, or simply too exhausted to try and examine the situation. We may feel far too disappointed and angry to look for anything resembling a bright side to our suffering. Still, somewhere in our hearts, we know that we will eventually emerge from the depths into the light of greater awareness. Remembering this truth, no matter how elusive it seems, can help.

The other thing we often would rather not hear when we are dealing with intense sadness is that the only way out of it is through it. Sitting with our sadness takes the courage to believe that we can bear the pain and the faith that we will come out the other side. With courage, we can allow ourselves to cycle through the grieving process with full inner permission to experience it. This is a powerful teaching that sadness has to offer us the ability to surrender and the acceptance of change go hand in hand.

Another teaching of sadness is compassion for others who are in pain, because it is only in feeling our own pain that we can really understand and allow for someone else's. Sadness is something we all go through, and we all learn from it and are deepened by its presence in our lives. While our own individual experiences of sadness carry with them unique lessons, the implications of what we learn are universal. The wisdom we gain from going through the process of feeling loss, heartbreak, or deep disappointment gives us access to the heart of humanity.

I think, for the past (-) years I may be the most compassionate person in the world. O well….

I have no idea why this time of the year is so sad for me. I have been pretty fine, all year, and now these past couple of days I’m missing my family and…., i have really struggled...am still struggling... But one simple fact what I learned is, Jesus Struggle and died for me on the cross…  and now it’s my tram to glorified his name!!!!

A Lesson in Life

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.
If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

BE THANKFUL

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Dear Friends.......find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.!!!

Worship the Lord your God

Jesus said it best, He always does. When he was tempted by Satan Jesus countered, "You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only" (Matthew 4:10). Worship is not optional. Worshipping God is a command. Worship isn't an event I attend, it's a lifestyle I live.I'm going to be preaching about worship for the next 4 weeks here at EVC. I've been reflecting on this one thing for the last few days: Wouldn't it be sad if the element of true worship was missing from the church? It would be more than sad; it would be tragic.Of all the activities that go on at church, worship is the most important. Adoration of God is more important than activity for God. Many times we become so entrenched in the doing that we neglect the being. We can be too programmed and informed and planned and busy that we slight the real worship of our living God.A distinguished explorer was making a trek in the Amazon jungle. Tribesmen were carrying his stuff as he was making his way through the jungle. The explorer drove them hard for three days long days. At the end of the third day, they rested. When morning came and it was time to begin travelling again, the natives sat on the ground and wouldn't move. When asked why the natives wouldn't budge one man replied, "They are resting until their souls catch up with their bodies".That can happen in church as well. Worshipping God is the only activity that will allow our souls to catch up with our bodies.Nothing is more important than worshipping our God. My prayer is that we will all believe and practice that as we explore this subject through the Psalms.
Rejoicing in the Lord.

Conform To The Spirit

I wrote this as a note to myself a long time ago and thought I’d share it here on the blog. I hope someone finds it beneficial and edifying.

Let people look at you and admire the qualities you have that are a direct result of having Christ in you. Conform to the Spirit! Let it control your life. You belong to God and you are His child. Represent Him everyday because you carry His last name when you are called “Christian.” Represent your family that has adopted you and canceled all of your debts. The Father sent His only son to die for you. Be thankful and live according to God’s will.

If you truly desire to be conformed to the Spirit, you must come before God broken, with a contrite spirit. God cannot build us up in His family when we have already used our own earthly desires to build an ideal world for ourselves. Pray for God to break you. Who are you to be proud in front of an Almighty God. Humble yourself before the Father and cry out “You are King! I will place no other God before you including myself.”

As God builds us up, we must continue to seek Him. What we put in our heart will become who we are. Learn truth, wisdom and love and you will become these very things. Walking the path of faith is your mission on earth. Become supernatural as you are called to be and reap the benefits God is waiting to give.

A Natural Desire

Praise and Worship – A Natural Desire

Praise and worship seems to be universal. Have you ever heard of an explorer finding a new tribe or culture that doesn’t worship? Worship is a natural instinct and a basic need for every person. A simple definition of worship is to regard with great devotion or to honor as a divine being. Take a second to think about what you are most devoted to in this life and ask yourself, “Is it worthy of my devotion; do I worship a divine being?”

We don’t all worship the same God, but everyone worships something or someone. Since we all worship, we should question the reason for this desire. The most logical conclusion is that we were created by a higher being for the very purpose of worship.

The ongoing quest of man is to find answers to the fundamental questions of human origin, human nature, and human destiny. There is one book that has the answers to all these questions, including our questions about worship. The Bible is the wonderful and mysterious book that God has chosen as a way to communicate with us.

God is the focus of our devotion in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. In Exodus 20:2-3, God says, “I am the LORD your God …..You shall have no other gods before me.” In Matthew 4:10, Jesus says, “Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.” So, worship is not merely a natural instinct, it’s a command from God.

Praise and Worship – Why Should We do it?

God alone is worthy of our devotion, praise and worship. He is God, our Creator, and we are commanded to praise and worship Him. Psalm 96:9 says, “Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.” Psalm 29:2 says, “Give unto the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

A.W. Tozer said, “Without worship, we go about miserable.” God doesn’t want us to be miserable — He has a perfect plan for our lives. He has done so many things to show us that He loves us and doesn’t want us to be miserable. He wants us to have hope for a future with Him –he wants us to have eternal life in heaven with Him.

A life of praise and worship fills our deepest needs, and amazingly, it also brings great joy to God. Zephaniah 3:17 states, “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

Praise and Worship – How Do We do it?

God tells us how to praise and worship him in His Word. John 4:23 says, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” In order to worship God in truth, we need to know that Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” So, before you can worship in the way that God desires, you have to develop a relationship with Him through faith in Jesus, His Son.

The best way that we can praise and worship God is with our every thought and action. Romans 12:1-2 states, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Praise and Worship – Love from the Heart

Many people think that praise and worship is only singing songs at church, but it is so much more! It is also a condition of your heart — a willingness to exalt God and yield to his will. Worship is an expression of love and awe to the God who gives us more than we deserve. Whether you express your worship by singing, playing music, dancing or in some other way, remember that you are called to worship God with your every action, every day of your life. God is holy, loving, and worthy of all our worship and devotion.

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” (Deut. 6:5)

Deep Dark Secrets

Deep dark secrets: everybody has them. But the question is, are these secrets ever really as deep and dark as people make them out to be? For the most part, after talking with several groups of friends and acquaintances, I’ve discovered that these are simply the instances in our lives that are our most embarrassing or unpleasant moments which they would rather not disclose to those who did not already witness their humiliation, but not usually anything to be truly ashamed of. However, there are also those who carry with them a heavy burden of remorse, linked to the memory of an event or action in their past that they know was immoral, and have tried to push to the back of their minds, but cannot forget their deep-rooted guilt and fear. Often we confess to our friends. But for some I’ve known, it is interesting to wonder: why is it so much easier to confide in a stranger than a friend, family member, or God? We are all different, but the main causes for all such secrets are alike in everyone.
One significant reason is reputation. I doubt a high school student who is at the top of their class for example, thought of as extremely bright, successful, and seem like they have a great personality would want their peers, much less family to know they had sex under age and behind everyone’s back. The thought of exposing such a secret leaves them afraid that they will lose respectability, admiration, trust, and even friendships. Although, once two friends have known each other long enough, sometimes they are comfortable sharing their innermost confidentialities with one another. But in my experience, it is difficult not knowing if the person will think less of you for certain iniquities. So then, confiding in a stranger or someone you do not know so well, rather than God or a friend (even though God would already know anyway), seems less intimidating, because they cannot judge you based on who you have been before, because they have never known who you were until now.
Also, I think that aside from being ashamed, the underlying reason is love. If you’ve been brought up right, you naturally know the difference between right and wrong. As with a small child who has misbehaved, sometimes people are frightened to admit their mistakes, however small or monumental, because they do not want the people they care about to stop loving them because of it. We as human beings have a strong natural desire to be loved; each of us in different ways, but I think we all run the same ideas through our minds in attempts to reason with our guilty hearts: “I don’t want to jeopardize my relationships because of something I did when nobody was watching… Who needs to know? Who wants to know? I’m not actually hurting anyone…It’s alright if I only did it once…It’s only wrong if I get caught, right? …They would hate me if I told…” And so much more…But it’s like my fifth grade teacher, Mr. Marks, always used to say, “Excuses are like trash cans…We all have ‘em, and they all stink.” We cannot erase our misdeeds simply by concealing them and trying to forget. There are four basic steps I’ve come up with that speak to the issue of rehabilitation from the covert sins that plague each of us: Confession, Apology, Forgiveness, and Healing. Others may see it differently, but this is just my personal set of steps that seem most important.
Confession involves not only admitting and taking ownership for your mistakes, but first recognizing that you have made them. Maybe the whole world does not have to know, though. That’s where a true friend, or in some cases, a compassionate stranger, comes into play, as I’ve said. Then, it starts to become much easier to explain your errors. That’s where you apologize for them, and then the weight of our sin begins to lift. Forgiveness needs to come not only from the person to whom you’ve confessed, but also from within ourselves. It is essential to find the courage to forgive yourself, I believe, before you can truly accept forgiveness from another. At this point, you know you were wrong and you’ve said you’re sorry; now let it go and let yourself be healed. True Healing means turning away from those ways. For me, I told myself that “I refuse to be a slave to sin any longer!” This is the point of release, when we are freed from the weight of our heavy hearts. And it is imperative to remember where you came from and commit to never going back to the person you used to be.
It is often difficult not to return to our wrong ways, when deep dark desires occasionally rise up again in our minds with a sense of gnawing temptation. But it is important to listen to your conscience then, as childish as that may seem, and find the strength to resist somehow; find a refuge for your thoughts. I always look to God in prayer first, as a young woman of faith, knowing I cannot conquer the lure of my sins alone. It may be different for you. I don’t know that for sure. But what I do know is: we all have something we’re trying to hide, for one reason or another, and all of us need relief from those burdens in some way. I’ve merely mentioned the best way I’ve found to deal with those issues. But if you ever need a friend, a shoulder to cry on, prayer, or just someone to talk to, your secrets are safe with me.
